About Us
Let me tell you a little story. Cops generally carry leather wallets with their police badges inside. Typically, this wallet is given to you when you graduate from the police academy. It’s a great wallet, but over time, it becomes what I call the “double quarter pounder wallet” due to the nature of us jamming everything inside it. Eventually, the leather stretches and expands, holding all our hidden secrets. It gets to the point where you can no longer carry it in your rear pocket unless you want to risk sciatic nerve issues in the future, and you certainly can’t carry it in your front pocket unless you’re trying to trick the ladies out there-guys, you know what I’m talking about.
In 2019, I was meeting up with my friends and colleagues from work, something we do before hitting the road to serve and protect. I arrived, grabbed my double quarter pounder wallet, and placed it behind my magazine pouch because that’s the only place you can carry it. As I approached the table where everyone was sitting, I pulled out my wallet and started complaining about how uncomfortable it was to carry.
One of my trooper buddies said, “Hey, take a look at this wallet I bought.” It was a wallet with two metal plates, some plastic, and elastic on the sides.
It was cool and new, but I asked, “Where do you place your police badge?”
My friend replied, “Oh, you have to carry two wallets.”
I said, “You can keep it! I’m not carrying two wallets; that’s crazy.”
You know what that means for us men-we always misplace things, and now we have to worry about losing two wallets? Oh, and be careful, gentlemen, that it’s not the secret wallet with all those tiny pieces of paper filled with top-secret information.
That day, my brain started cranking, and I began developing an idea. But, of course, I had to first investigate the idea, like any good cop would. As I dove deeper, I realized that this idea didn’t exist anywhere.
I went to an art store and began sketching designs. Once I settled on a possible concept, I turned to my uncle, a highly intelligent engineer, and he helped me refine the design. Once we had a working prototype, I searched for another engineer with the needed machines to put this together. We did, and the idea I had in mind came to life.
However, there was still more work ahead. We had to develop additional prototypes, test them in the field, run them over with a car, drop them, and press the mechanism thousands of times to ensure durability. We tested it to the max, and now, we are finally ready to unveil a U.S.A.-made wallet exclusively for first responders in 2024. It has taken us five years to perfect this product. I hope all of you enjoy it. Be proud to show your wallet, because you are the real heroes on this planet.
